Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Blomo. Please read section 6 in full: it explains when we check incoming funds and what happens if we do.
Last updated: 13 September 2026
1. About these terms
These terms form an agreement between you and Blomo (“Blomo”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not create an account and do not send us funds.
We may change these terms. Material changes are announced through the notification channel linked to your account before they take effect. Continuing to use Blomo after that is acceptance of the changed terms; if you do not accept them, you may close your account under section 9.
English is the governing language of this document. Any translation is for convenience and does not change it.
2. What Blomo is
Blomo is a service that converts cryptocurrency you send us into a spendable balance and arranges the issue of payment cards funded from that balance.
Blomo is not a bank and is not the issuer of the cards. Cards are issued by a partner issuer, and that issuer sets the rules that apply to the card itself, including the identity checks required for physical cards. We say this plainly rather than after you have started.
Two different things hold value in Blomo, and the difference matters:
- The Blomo balance is custodial. Crypto you send for a top-up lands on wallets we control, and cards spend from that balance by default.
- Blomo Wallet is non-custodial. Its key is created on your device and encrypted with your passcode. We cannot move funds from it, and we cannot restore it for you. Section 16 covers this.
3. Your account
An account requires an email address or a Telegram account. You must be at least 18 years old and must not be acting on behalf of someone else who is hiding behind you.
One person holds one account. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, shared or transferred.
A linked Telegram account is required before you can top up, order a card or take out a subscription. Money notifications reach you there and nowhere else; a person we cannot notify is a person using money blindly, and we will not put you in that position.
Keeping your credentials and your second factor safe is your responsibility. Two-factor authentication is offered at sign-up and protects the sign-in: with it on, a stolen password alone will not open your account. It is not a second confirmation on each withdrawal, and a session that is already open is not asked for it again.
4. Identity verification
Virtual cards require no identity documents — not at sign-up, not at top-up, not at issue, and not at payment.
Physical cards do. A personalised card is manufactured for a named person and shipped to an address, and the partner issuer is required to know who that person is before producing it. That requirement is the issuer's, not ours, and no provider in this market can waive it.
Section 6 is separate from this. It concerns the origin of specific funds, not your identity, and it can apply to a virtual-card account that has never been asked for a document.
5. Topping up
A top-up is a request, not a permanent address. You choose the asset and network, receive an address for that specific top-up, and send the amount to it. The request expires; funds sent after expiry, to the wrong network, or below the published minimum are handled case by case and are not guaranteed to be credited automatically.
Funds are credited once the network confirms the transfer, after the number of confirmations shown to you before you send. The top-up fee published in the fee table is added on top of the amount you ask to have credited, and the top-up request names the amount to send.
Every on-chain event is applied once, however many times the network delivers it to us.
6. Checks on incoming funds
We do not accept the proceeds of crime, and we will not be a route for laundering them. This section explains what follows from that.
We reserve the right to check funds before they are moved to our master wallets. When you order a card, your balance is held. The hold serves two purposes at once: confirming that the balance meets the entry threshold for the card you chose, and completing checks on the funds before they reach our master wallets.
If the checks pass, the card is issued and then activated, and your entire balance — including the held amount — becomes available to spend. The hold runs until activation, which is a later step than issue; nothing stays locked after it, and the entry threshold is not a deposit. Top-ups that arrive after you ordered the card are not part of the hold and stay available.
If a question arises about the funds — exposure to sanctions, anti-money-laundering concerns, funds reported as stolen, or indications of laundering or the legalisation of unlawfully obtained assets — the check is extended and we will ask you for further evidence. Depending on the case, that may include:
- confirmation of the source of the funds;
- confirmation that you control the wallet the funds were sent from;
- a statement, given by you, that you funded the account yourself and without the involvement of third parties.
We do not disclose how our checks work. Which signals we act on, which tools we use and what thresholds apply are not published and are not explained on request. Publishing them would tell the people these checks exist for exactly what to avoid, and would make the checks worthless for everyone else.
The evidence required in a particular case is the list our compliance review asks you for. Only that list closes the case; material we did not ask for does not.
Outcomes
You pass the check. You provided what compliance requested and it was accepted. The review is closed, the card is issued and the balance is available.
You decline the check. We may open an investigation. Until the circumstances are established, the account and everything on it is frozen.
The investigation finds nothing, but you continue to decline to cooperate. The account is permanently closed and the funds are returned to the address they came from — whether that address belongs to a personal wallet, a cold wallet or an exchange. We do not choose a different destination for you, and a return to an exchange address is at your own risk.
The investigation confirms an unlawful origin or purpose. The account is blocked permanently and without a right of withdrawal. The funds are released only at the request of the competent authorities.
These outcomes apply to the funds in question and, where the same account is involved, to the account itself.
7. Issuing a card
Cards are issued from the products published on this site, at the published prices. The first virtual card on an account is free; each card after that costs the published issue fee, taken from your balance at the moment of issue.
While a card is being issued your balance is held, as described in section 6. The hold covers your whole available balance, not only the entry threshold, and it lasts until the card is activated — activation is a later step than issue, so the hold remains in place after the card details have been shown to you. It is released when the card is activated, and also if the request is declined or cancelled.
We may decline to issue a card. Where the reason is a check under section 6, we tell you that a check is open; we do not explain what triggered it.
8. Withdrawals
You may request a withdrawal of your balance to a crypto address you control.
Withdrawals normally complete in 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the coin and the network. Our service standard is completion within one day of the request.
A withdrawal takes longer than that only where a check under section 6 is open. In that case the timeline is the timeline of the check.
A withdrawal carries a 3% fee. It is taken out of the amount you withdraw, together with the network fee for the outgoing transfer, rather than charged on top of it: request an amount and you receive that amount less both. There is no minimum withdrawal.
We send to the address you give us and cannot recover funds sent to an address you entered incorrectly.
9. Refunds and closing an account
You may ask us to return your balance instead of spending it.
A refund of the balance closes the account permanently. The account cannot be reopened, and its history, cards and subscriptions end with it. Ask for a refund only if you intend to stop using Blomo.
Refunds are completed within 14 days of the request. Funds are returned to the address they came from, subject to section 6.
You may also close an account without a refund, if there is nothing on it to return.
10. Where the card may be used
Cards work wherever the card network is accepted, except in territories we do not support. The current list of supported regions is published on this site.
If we detect use of a card, or an attempt to issue one, in an unsupported territory, we open a check and ask you for the corresponding confirmations.
An attempted payment to a service located in a sanctioned territory freezes the account until the circumstances are established.
A merchant may also decline a card for reasons of its own; some services do not accept prepaid cards at all. That is the merchant's rule and is outside our control.
11. Paying with the card
Every online charge requires your confirmation. A charge you confirmed is a charge you made.
We are not responsible for spending carried out by you, including purchases you regret, subscriptions you forgot to cancel, and payments to merchants who did not deliver. Disputes with a merchant are between you and that merchant.
Purchases in the card's own currency are made without conversion. Everything else is recalculated at the rate of the card network — Visa or Mastercard — fixed at the moment of the transaction. We do not convert at a rate of our own and we take no mark-up on conversion, which is why there is no conversion fee in the fee table.
12. If your account or device is compromised
If you believe your credentials, your second factor or your device have been compromised, contact support immediately. That is your obligation, and it is the step that lets us protect the balance.
If you do not, and we see suspicious attempts to spend, we freeze the account and contact you. We would rather stop a payment that turns out to be yours than allow one that turns out not to be.
13. Card replacement
A card programme may be withdrawn by the issuer at short notice — in the industry this is known as a BIN being dropped. It is outside our control.
If it happens, cards issued on that programme are replaced automatically within 24 hours and you are notified. The replacement carries a new number, expiry date and security code.
Updating the new details in Apple Pay, Google Pay and in any subscription services is your responsibility. We cannot do it for you, and we are not responsible for subscriptions interrupted because the old details stopped working.
14. Fees
The fees for topping up, issuing and using a card are published in the fee table on this site, and we do not add card fees that are not there. Fees are shown in USDT, the currency your balance is denominated in.
We may change fees. Changes are announced through your notification channel before they take effect and never apply retroactively to a transaction already completed.
Network fees charged by a blockchain are not ours and are not something we can waive.
15. Subscriptions
Subscription services are charged in advance for each period and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period already paid for.
If your balance is insufficient at renewal, the subscription is suspended rather than allowed to run up a debt.
16. Blomo Wallet
Blomo Wallet is non-custodial. Its private key is created on your device and encrypted with your passcode, which we do not hold.
We cannot move funds from your Blomo Wallet, and we cannot restore it. The recovery phrase shown when the wallet is created is the only backup that exists. If you lose both the passcode and the phrase, the wallet is gone, and there is nothing we can do about it — the same property that stops us from taking your funds stops us from returning them.
Connecting the wallet to a card enables co-control and is entirely optional. Under co-control our share of the key signs only within the spending limit, the allowed recipients and the stop switch that you set in advance.
Sections 6 and 8 concern the Blomo balance. They do not give us the ability to move funds held in a Blomo Wallet, because no such ability exists.
17. Prohibited use
You may not use Blomo to launder money, to move the proceeds of crime, to finance terrorism, to evade sanctions, or for any purpose that is unlawful where you are or where the payment lands.
You may not attempt to disguise the origin of funds, use another person's identity or wallet, resell access to your account, or interfere with the operation of the service.
18. Suspension, investigation and termination
We may suspend an account, freeze a balance or refuse a transaction where section 6, section 10 or section 17 applies, where we are required to by law, or where continuing would expose us or you to a clear risk of loss.
Where a freeze follows from a check, its duration is the duration of the check. We tell you that a check is open. We do not explain what triggered it.
You may close your account at any time under section 9.
19. Availability of the service
We aim to keep Blomo available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Networks go down, partners have outages, and maintenance happens.
We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service. Where a change removes something you paid for, we refund the unused part of what you paid for it.
20. Liability
We are responsible for our own service: the balance we hold for you, the ledger that records it, and the obligations set out here.
We are not responsible for: spending you confirmed; disputes with merchants; losses caused by credentials you did not keep safe or by a compromise you did not report; decisions taken by the partner issuer or by a card network; blockchain network conditions, including fees and confirmation times; funds sent to an incorrect address; subscriptions interrupted by a card replacement under section 13; or the tax consequences of your own transactions, which are yours to determine and to declare.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the applicable law.
21. General
Severability. If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we do not lose it.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a successor of the business, on the same terms.
Force majeure. Neither side is liable for a failure caused by something genuinely outside its control.
Entire agreement. These terms, together with the fee table and the pages they reference on this site, are the whole agreement between us.
