Can you pay by phone with a Blomo card?

Five of the six Blomo cards work in Apple Pay and Google Pay. You add the card by hand in the phone wallet app — Blomo has no add-to-wallet button.

Yes, on five of the six Blomo cards: Netherlands, Spain, Poland, United Kingdom and Indonesia. The Estonia card does not support wallet payments at all (where the cards work). And there is one thing to know before you start looking for it in the app: Blomo has no add-to-Apple-Pay button. You add the card yourself, in the phone’s own wallet app, by typing in the number, the expiry date and the CVV that Blomo shows you (a first crypto card, explained from zero). Card details quoted here were current on 13 September 2026.

Which cards, exactly

Card Apple Pay and Google Pay
Netherlands · Visa · EUR Supported
Spain · Visa · EUR Supported
Poland · Mastercard · PLN Supported
United Kingdom · Visa · GBP Supported
Indonesia · Mastercard · IDR Supported
Estonia · Visa · EUR Not supported

Five of six, and the split is the same one that decides ATM access: the five cards with wallet payments are the five with cash withdrawal, and the Estonia card has neither (fees). That is the whole of it — there is no card in the range that taps but gives no cash, or the other way round.

Why this matters more for a virtual card than for a bank card

A Blomo virtual card has no plastic. It exists as three things on a screen: a number, an expiry date and a CVV (virtual cards). Those three things are enough for an online checkout, and they are useless at a till, because there is nothing to hand over and nothing to tap.

A phone wallet is what closes that gap. Once the card is in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, the phone is presented to the terminal and the terminal sees an ordinary Visa or Mastercard payment. That turns a card which could only pay websites into one that also pays for groceries, taxis, fuel and anything else with a contactless reader.

So for a Blomo card, adding it to a phone is not a convenience feature. On the five cards that support it, the phone wallet is the only route to a physical terminal. On the Estonia card there is no such route, which is why Blomo describes it as an online-only product rather than a card with a missing feature.

There is no button, so here is what you actually do

This is the step people look for and do not find, and Blomo says so on its own pages rather than letting you hunt: the Blomo app has no add-to-Apple-Pay button, and the card is added by hand instead (a first crypto card, explained from zero, step 6).

  1. Issue the card in Blomo and open it, so the number, the expiry date and the CVV are on screen.
  2. Open Apple Wallet on an iPhone, or Google Wallet on an Android phone.
  3. Choose to add a payment card, and select entering the details manually rather than scanning — there is no physical card to point a camera at.
  4. Type in the card number, the expiry date and the CVV exactly as Blomo shows them.
  5. Complete whatever the wallet asks for next, and then pay by holding the phone to the terminal.

After that the card behaves like any other card in the wallet. The amount is debited from the Blomo balance, with the rate locked at the moment of the payment (where the cards work).

If you have several Blomo cards, they are added one at a time. Adding one card to a phone does nothing for the others.

What paying by phone costs

Nothing extra. Blomo charges no fee for wallet payments and no fee for adding a card to a wallet. A payment made by phone carries the same transaction fee as the same payment made by typing the number into a website: 0.5% on the Netherlands card, 1% on Spain, Poland, Indonesia and Estonia, and 1.5% on the United Kingdom card (fees).

The currency rule is also unchanged by the phone. A payment in the card’s own currency is not converted at all; a payment in any other currency is recalculated at the Visa or Mastercard rate for that moment, and Blomo takes no markup on that rate (virtual cards). Tapping in a shop abroad costs exactly what the same purchase would cost online.

Which is worth pairing with the currency of the card itself. The Netherlands and Spain cards are EUR, Poland is PLN, the United Kingdom is GBP and Indonesia is IDR, so the card that taps most cheaply where you live is the one issued in the money that shop charges in. That choice is worked through in which Blomo card to choose.

What Blomo does not control

This is the honest part, and it is why nobody should promise you a working phone wallet in advance.

Whether a card can be added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet is not decided by Blomo alone. Blomo’s side is what the product supports — and on five of the six cards, it supports wallet payments. The rest of the decision sits with Apple or Google and with the issuing side of the card, and it can depend on the phone, its region settings and the wallet’s own rules. Blomo cannot override a refusal there and does not promise a particular device or a particular country will work.

Blomo also does not publish whether its cards support 3-D Secure, and an unpublished answer is not a promise in either direction — so do not build a plan around receiving, or not receiving, a confirmation step.

What Blomo can tell you is what the product is: five of six cards support wallet payments, the Estonia card does not, and the card is added by hand because no add-to-wallet button exists in the Blomo app.

The Estonia card, and what its missing wallet buys

The Estonia card is the only one in the range with no Apple Pay, no Google Pay and no ATM access. That is a design decision rather than an omission, and Blomo states the trade openly: the missing features are what buy it the lowest entry threshold in the range, at 100 USDT (where the cards work).

The rest of its specification follows the same logic: EUR on Visa, 1% per transaction, a 5,000 USDT monthly spending limit against 100,000 on the Netherlands and Spain cards, and 36 months of validity against 48 on the other five (fees).

It takes every online payment the others take, subscriptions included. If you never intend to hold a phone to a terminal, nothing on that list is a loss. If you do, it is the wrong card, and no setting changes that.

Questions people actually ask

Can a Blomo card be added to Apple Pay?

Yes, on five of the six cards: Netherlands, Spain, Poland, United Kingdom and Indonesia. You add it by hand in Apple Wallet, by entering the number, expiry date and CVV shown in the Blomo app. The Estonia card does not support wallet payments.

Does Blomo have an add-to-Apple-Pay button?

No. The Blomo app has no add-to-wallet button of any kind. Adding the card happens in the phone’s own wallet app, by typing the card details in manually.

Which Blomo card does not work with Apple Pay or Google Pay?

The Estonia card. It is an online-only product with no wallet payments and no ATM access, and in exchange it has the lowest entry threshold in the range at 100 USDT.

Does Google Pay work the same way as Apple Pay with a Blomo card?

Yes. The same five cards support both, and the method is the same: open Google Wallet, choose to add a payment card, and type in the number, expiry date and CVV from the Blomo app.

Does paying by phone cost more than paying online?

No. A wallet payment carries the same transaction fee as any other payment on that card — 0.5% to 1.5% depending on the product — and Blomo charges nothing for adding a card to a wallet.

Can Blomo guarantee the card will be accepted by my phone’s wallet?

No. Blomo controls whether the product supports wallet payments, and five of the six do. Whether a particular phone, region or wallet version accepts the card is decided by Apple or Google and the issuing side, and Blomo cannot override a refusal there.

Do I need identity documents to use a Blomo card in a phone wallet?

No. Blomo asks for no identity documents at sign-up, top-up, card issue or payment for a virtual card. Physical plastic is the exception and does require a check.
