How to spot a fake Blomo support message

Blomo support lives in one Telegram chat and never asks for a recovery phrase, a 2FA code or a transfer. The checks that settle it in ten seconds.

There is one check that settles it, and everything else is supporting evidence: Blomo support lives in exactly one place — the Telegram bot @blomo_bot — and any other account, group or “manager” writing to you is fake by default. You do not need to judge whether a message sounds official. You need to look at which chat it arrived in, and treat every other chat as an impostor until proven otherwise, which it will not be.

The one reliable check

Do not click a link someone sent you, and do not search Telegram for the name. Both of those find whatever the impostor set up. Instead, arrive at support from something you already trust:

  • In the Blomo app: Settings → Help → Support → Write to support. The app opens the chat for you.
  • On the website: the Support link in the footer of blomo.io, which points at @blomo_bot.

Both routes end in the same chat. If the conversation you are worried about is not that chat, it is not Blomo — no matter what the display name, the photo or the username looks like. Usernames can be near-identical: a lookalike differs by one character, and one character is not something anyone reliably notices at a glance.

What Blomo never does

Every line here is a rule about how Blomo actually works, not a general warning.

  1. Blomo does not write to you from a personal account. Support is a bot chat: you write to @blomo_bot, and the reply comes back from that same bot. When a human at Blomo answers you, their answer still arrives as a message from the bot — you never see a staff member’s own account, name or chat, because replies are sent as text rather than forwarded. So a Telegram user with a human name and a Blomo avatar in your direct messages is not Blomo staff. There is no such thing.
  2. Blomo never asks for your recovery phrase or private key. Whoever has those words can move the money in that wallet, and a transfer on a blockchain is final — Blomo cannot reverse one. There is no support procedure that is unblocked by you handing the phrase to someone, which is why nobody at Blomo will ever ask you to type it into a chat, read it out or send it anywhere. A request for those words is the whole scam, wearing whatever story fits.
  3. Blomo never asks you to tell anyone your two-factor code or your recovery codes. A code from your authenticator app is something you type into a Blomo screen yourself — the sign-in screen, and the two-factor screen in Settings when you switch the second factor on or off. It is never typed into a chat, an email, or a page somebody sent you a link to, and it is never read out to a person. Each code works exactly once, which is precisely why someone would want you to read one out while it is fresh.
  4. Blomo never asks you to send crypto to a “verification”, “validation” or “safety” address. No such address exists. The only address Blomo will ever give you is the top-up address the app shows inside a top-up you started yourself, and it appears in the app — not in a chat message, not in an email, not as a QR code someone sends you.
  5. Blomo never asks you to install remote-access or screen-sharing software. Support does not need to see your screen, and nothing at Blomo is fixed that way.
  6. Blomo never asks you to send your card number or CVV back to it. This one needs a caveat, because the traffic goes one way and scammers imitate the other. When a card is issued, the bot does send you the number, the expiry and the CVV once, in the chat with @blomo_bot, and asks you to save them and delete the message — the details stay in the app. Blomo sending them to you is normal. Anyone asking you to read them out, forward them or type them into a form is not Blomo.
  7. Blomo does not demand identity documents to “unlock” a virtual card. On the ordinary path a virtual card involves no identity checks at any stage — not at sign-up, not at top-up, not at issue, not at payment. Incoming funds are screened, and the terms describe what an extended check may ask for if a top-up raises a sanctions question; a physical card requires KYC because the partner issuer requires it. All of that happens inside the app and the bot chat, never in a stranger’s direct messages, and never as a demand to pay a fee first.

Does Blomo ever message me first?

Yes, and knowing exactly how keeps the answer useful. Blomo sends notifications about your own money — a top-up credited, a card issued with its details, a card activated — and occasional reminders. All of them arrive from @blomo_bot, in the chat you already started, and not one of them asks you to send back anything secret. Telegram does not let a bot message someone who never opened a chat with it, so a first contact from “Blomo” in a fresh conversation with a personal account is, by construction, not Blomo.

The first-line replies in that chat are automated, and each one ends with the signature 🤖 ai-support, added by code rather than typed. Treat that as a description of what the real chat looks like, not as proof of anything: a signature is a string, and a string can be copied. The chat it arrives in cannot.

The pressure is the tell

Real support has no deadline for you. Fake support always does: your balance will be frozen in fifteen minutes, your card will be cancelled today, the refund window closes tonight. Urgency exists to stop you doing the ten-second check at the top of this page, and that is its only function.

The second tell is direction of value. Blomo’s support answers questions about money that is already yours. It does not ask you to move money, buy anything, or pay a fee to release a balance in order to be helped.

If you already answered

Act in this order, because the first item stops being possible once someone else acts.

  1. If you gave away your wallet recovery phrase, move the crypto now. Create a new wallet and send the balance to it, then keep the new phrase on paper and away from whoever you gave the old one to. A blockchain transfer cannot be reversed by Blomo, and there is no refund behind it.
  2. If you gave away your Blomo password, change it in the app — Settings → Security → Email and password. The change requires your current password and signs out every other session, which is what removes anyone already signed in as you.
  3. If you read out a two-factor code, that specific code is already spent — each one works once. Assume the sign-in behind it succeeded anyway: change the password as above, which ends every other session.
  4. If you handed over recovery codes, replace the set. Turn two-factor off and on again in Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication: confirming it issues a fresh set of codes and invalidates the old ones. Turning it off asks for a current authenticator code, so do this while you still have the app.
  5. If you installed anything they sent, do the steps above from a different device, and remove the software before you go back to the first one.
  6. Then tell Blomo, in @blomo_bot. Say what you sent and when. It also helps the next person: the account can be reported to Telegram.

There is one thing worth being clear-eyed about. If crypto left your wallet, Blomo cannot bring it back — it cannot reverse a transfer, freeze the receiving address or refund it. That is the cost of a service that asks you for no documents, and pretending otherwise would help nobody.

Short answers

How do I know a Blomo support message is real? It arrives in the chat with @blomo_bot, which you reach from Settings → Help → Support in the app or the Support link in the site footer. Every other channel is fake by default.

Does Blomo staff ever write from a personal Telegram account? No. Human replies still come out of the bot chat, so you never see a staff member’s own account.

Will Blomo ever ask for my recovery phrase or 2FA code? Nobody at Blomo will ever ask you for either — not in a chat, not by email, not on a form somebody links you to. An authenticator code you type yourself, into Blomo’s own sign-in screen or the two-factor screen in Settings. A recovery phrase you enter only on Blomo’s own import screen, when you choose to bring an existing wallet in.

Is there a Blomo verification address I should send funds to? No such address exists. The only address Blomo gives you is a top-up address shown in the app, inside a top-up you started yourself.

Someone already has my mailbox or my Telegram — what now? Work through the steps for a stolen password, in the order they are listed.
