Blomo charges 1% on a top-up whatever network you use, so the network never changes what Blomo takes — it changes only what the sending side charges you. To land 100 USDT on a Blomo balance you send 101 USDT on TRON and 101 USDT on Ethereum; the 1 USDT difference is identical. Everything else is the chain’s fee, and on 13 September 2026 that fee was roughly 13 TRX on TRON and roughly one US cent on Ethereum. The arithmetic is below, along with how to redo it on the day you actually send, because one of those two numbers moves by the minute.
The part that does not move: Blomo’s 1%
Blomo’s top-up fee is 1% of the amount you ask to have credited. It is the same on TRON, on Ethereum, on Arbitrum, on BNB Chain and on Bitcoin, and it is the only fee Blomo charges on a top-up. The current figure always lives on the fees page, which is the number Blomo keeps up to date.
For 100 USDT credited, that is 1 USDT to Blomo and 101 USDT to send. The minimum top-up is 50 USDT, and below that Blomo does not credit automatically.
The part that moves: what the network charges
The sending fee is not paid to Blomo. It is paid to the network, in that network’s own coin, by whoever sends the transfer — and if you are sending from an exchange, the exchange sets its own flat charge on top of or instead of it.
Two figures were measured on 13 September 2026, both for the case that applies to a Blomo top-up:

Where each number came from:
- TRON energy used: read off real USDT transfers in block 86,210,617 via the public TronGrid API, 13 September 2026. Transfers to an address that already held USDT cost 64,285 energy; the one going to an address holding none cost 130,285.
- TRON energy price: the
getEnergyFeechain parameter, read from TronGrid the same day: 100 sun, which is 0.0001 TRX per unit of energy. - TRON bandwidth: a transfer also uses 345 bytes. Some accounts in that block paid 345,000 sun (0.345 TRX) for it and some paid nothing, depending on the free bandwidth they had left.
- Ethereum gas used:
eth_estimateGasfor a 100 USDTtransferon the Tether contract, against a public node, 13 September 2026. To an address already holding USDT it estimated 46,479 gas; to an address holding none, 64,031. - Ethereum gas price: the median base fee over twenty consecutive blocks was 0.068 gwei, plus a typical priority fee of about 0.012 gwei. Etherscan’s gas tracker showed 0.068 gwei the same day.

Why a Blomo top-up hits the expensive branch
Both tables above have two numbers for the same transfer, and the larger one is the one that applies to you.
Every Blomo top-up address is brand new and holds no USDT yet. Blomo issues a fresh address per request and never reuses one. On both chains, writing a token balance into a slot that was previously empty costs roughly twice as much as adding to a balance that already exists: 130,285 energy instead of 64,285 on TRON, 64,031 gas instead of 46,479 on Ethereum.
So the cheerful figures you see quoted for a USDT transfer are usually the exchange-to-exchange case. A transfer to a fresh deposit address is the expensive one, and that is the one to budget for.

Against the 50 USDT minimum the gap is sharper, because the TRON fee is a flat amount rather than a percentage. Landing 50 USDT costs about $4.94 on TRON — 9.9% of what you got — and about $0.51 on Ethereum, still 1.0%.
Do not treat this as a permanent ranking
The two costs behave completely differently, and that matters more than the snapshot.
TRON’s fee is a constant set by governance. The energy a USDT transfer burns is fixed by the contract, and the price per unit of energy is a chain parameter that changes only when the TRON community votes to change it. In TRX the fee is stable; in dollars it moves only with the TRX price.
Ethereum’s fee is a market price. Gas price is set by demand for block space, block by block. At 0.068 gwei a token transfer costs a cent; the same transfer at 20 gwei costs about $3.20, and Ethereum has spent long stretches well above that. The number in this article is a reading taken on one day, not a property of the network.
Before you send, look at both for yourself: the gas price on a gas tracker, and the withdrawal fee the place you are sending from displays.
If you send from an exchange, none of these are your numbers
The figures above are what the chain charges. An exchange charges its own flat withdrawal fee instead, which it sets, and which is frequently higher on Ethereum than on TRON — the opposite order to the table above. Blomo has no relationship with any exchange, does not recommend one and cannot see what yours charges.
The practical rule: open the withdrawal screen, read the fee it shows for each network, and compare those. That is the number that comes out of your money. Blomo’s 1% is unaffected either way.
